How to explain the collaborative process? Ah…it’s a mysterious thing, arriving at the final destination. You would think, looking at this video, that the written content was complete and as you hear it now, before we shot the images. It didn’t quite roll out that way… Emma has been exploring various themes in her […]

Awwwww a beautiful, eloquent tight little story…love where you guys are heading with this…I can see these narrative stories being for anyone who just wants to record a time and space moment in their lives. Love it ! great work you two x

Beth Jennings - April 20, 2012 - 10:00 am

Yeah…thanks Haley it is very well written isn’t it. A great story and it’s come together really well in the presentation. We’re really excited by this one!

Emma - May 12, 2012 - 12:14 pm

It is so wonderful to work with a photographer like Beth, she has such an intricate eye for visual language. Her photos tell stories I could never write on my own and I love how she captures beauty in every frame. There’s always so much love in her work. I think that staying open is the only way to collaborate effectively – you never know exactly what will happen, you just have to be ready to recognise and capture it when it does. Something Beth does very well. Hurry up and come back from Berlin please, I’m ready for more! xx

Beth Jennings - May 18, 2012 - 11:03 pm

Oh you say it so well Emma, staying open is the key to the collaboration indeed. I think we are both very good at that – the flow of ideas goes back and forth until we massage the piece to a point of completion… I do love working with you my dear you are amazing!! See you in Spring time so we can continue the collaborative adventure xx

On Saturday a second fundraiser event was held for the lovely Lisa. Lisa is fighting her cancer head on and to continue the fight she needs financial help. Terrence C - April 16, 2012 - 7:12 pm

Hi Beth
honestly i have never come across someone who can tell a story thru images like you do.
each one is a treasured moment of a day that will forever live in the memories of all who attended
i think that the final series with Lisa and her parents really captured the strong bond that the O’Hara family have its honest fun and filled with love
we as a group who plan these events are blessed that we have you come along and capture the events so beautifully.

thank you my friend

Darryn Lee - April 16, 2012 - 7:44 pm

Well done Beth…
After meeting Lisa at the Feb event, it was not only a pleasure, but a mission to organise an event even bigger on this side of Melbourne..
As I said in a couple of my speeches, I was genuinely and emotionally overwhelmed by the attendance and the support, shown to a lovely girl that, I believe it is safe to say, more than 1/2 didn’t know…
Lisa, all these people were touched by your story, as I was, and it show…
I am sure that with yours, and your awesome parents appreciation shown on the day, these people would love to be right behind all the way…
With your Fight, your love of life, your appreciation, WE ALL LOVE YA….

Event co-organiser…

She is beautiful, isn’t she? This is a show reel – a piece that showcases the actor – and by default showcases my work and way of seeing too. The perfect blend! She is amazing, though, isn’t she?!

Often I get asked: ‘Beth, I need a couple of portraits that say something about me that I can use on my website, other online spaces and in the occasional press article. I want it to be descriptive and not a mug shot.  Can you do that?’ Yes I can. The perfect example of a […]

By the end of the day, it fealt as she she was a life long friend..
