1 September 2014 – A Little Read – Memories at your fingertips by Beth Jennings – review by editor Amy Doak at Little One Baby Magazine blog.
Lynelle – ‘Reading your book is like unravelling a tightly knotted piece of string. It has given me the enthusiasm and confidence to re-organise our digital photo catalogue and for that I will always be grateful.’
Dallas – ‘How fantastic is your book…I’m loving Lightroom now…still learning but I’ve found your book really helpful in explaining the basics and that has got me well on the way. I’m editing and making slideshows for my latest family photoshoots and they are very happy.’
Drew – ‘At last someone catches the heart of why we keep memories. You can just feel that the author is both deeply skilled and passionate about her craft. This has motivate me to sort out my photo memories and start enjoying me again and again. A perfect gift and a beautiful read.‘
Barbara – ‘Beth makes it so easy to get the best from your photos. The book is so easy to read and to follow as you sit at your computer with your photos at your finger tips. Removing the things you don’t want like the fence post sticking out of your friend’s head. So easy. Other books make you give up but I am really enjoying using Beth’s book. I highly recomend it to you all even if you think you know all there is about printing photos etc. Beth recommends Lightroom and so do I along with the book.’
I partnered with Michaels Camera Store in the Melbourne CBD to hold the book launch. Everyone there had a book copy in their hands and could listen to my one hour workshop ‘From Capture to Create – how to capture personality and connection in a family photo story’. Complete with cupcakes and a prize draw, everyone had a great time and it was a terrific way to celebrate. The beautiful photography coverage is by Samantha Sagona Photography.
Writing a book has been a whole new frontier for me. I ran a successful crowdfunding campaign for $11,405 in February to fund the book’s production. It was a truly outstanding outcome and my heartfelt thanks goes to those 153 supporters. The chance to pledge has now closed but to check out the Memories at your fingertips book crowd-funding campaign CLICK HERE.
Here is the campaign promo video created by the very talented Markus Stone:
