This is a little demo of a before-photoshop-after-photoshop effort. The scary thing about photoshop is knowing it can do so much, so am I getting the most out of it? Well, there’s so much material and so many resources out there, I can’t really go wrong. I’d have to say that my approach to photoshop is linked to my training in traditional photographic processes. (I went to RMIT in Melbourne and graduated in 1999 just when they were on the cusp of moving over entirely to digital). So when i rework an image, I approach it as if I’m working with a negative in the darkroom. I wonder how people go now with photography who have only learned digital processes? Are they advantaged or disadvantaged?
Either way, the control I now have is phenomenal and that makes me a very happy girl indeed.
This little chap is called Stuart, aged 10, with copious amounts of energy as most 10 year olds are liable to have. This was a rare, pause for thought moment during a very active shoot.
