On my last day in New York I had a photo session with Australian couple Mel and Andrew, who have now lived there for 5 years.  They’ve had their share of ups and downs of the personal variety in recent times.  Things are now looking up for them, so this marks a wonderful instalment in the New York City chapter of their lives.

It was my pleasure to photograph them in this grand city, a city that never stops, that excites and delights them.  They decided they would like their images taken on the Brooklyn Bridge.  It was a rather wild afternoon, filled with tourists and an impending storm.  We managed these photos just as the weather was threatening to close in.

I opted for this rich, antique look – it visually reminds me of a classic New York jazz feel transposed to modern day images.

Mel and Andrew, thank you so much for your time to create these images and I wish you every success and joy for your time in New York City.

Hi Beth, Nathan here from the Tero Tassie workshop. Love your work and very envious that you are traveling around in the states. I love new york. The processing with the Brooklyn bridge looks very classic.
